25 June 2008 - We stayed in town today ... walked around Notting Hill a bit, dropped off laundry, and then went to Leicester Square to see what discount theater tickets were available. We decided to keep it light and bought half-price tickets (eighth row lower - great seats !!) for "Spamalot" at the old Palace Theater just off the square.
We visited St Pauls Cathedral, Downing Street, St. James Park, and Buckingham Palace before returning to Leicester Square for dinner and the show.
Here are a few pictures from the Notting Hill area ...
Buckingham Palace - we arrived just as the Queen's Tea finished ... there was a large military contingent participating in some sort of ceremony that we will probably be reading about in the paper tomorrow - many hundreds of soldiers marched away from the palace, followed by the departure of hundreds of well dressed families and officials.
St. James Park ...
St. Pauls Cathedral ...

At Downing Street ...

What fun to have seen Spamalot in England!!!! We saw it in New York a couple of times, but seeing it in London probably had a nice England flair!
