27 June 2008 - Here are some photos from our last full day in London. They're not very exciting, I know. We covered shopping, the Underground, and my attempt to stand in line to get into Wimbeldon for third round action - the tennis tournament is underway this week.
After dropping a bag at the Bechtel London Hammersmith office we had a late lunch and a pint at the Hammersmith Ram - a favorite, er mean "favourite" pub for locals.
We split up for part of the day - Destination 1 was shopping along Oxford Street and down to Knightsbridge (Harrod's). Destination 2 was to try to get into the Wimbledon Tennis grounds to see a little tournamrent action - see a couple photos below.
The Egypt Room in Harrods.
A dress was purchased at "Top Shop" ...
Here are a few miscellaneous Underground shots ...
Thought I could come home and try to develop this look ... ??
I tried to get in to the Wimbledon Tournament. Rode the Underground to Southfields Station and walked the 10 minutes to find the queue for access to the tournament. You are handed a "Queue Card" with a number on it and pointed to a very civilized, 'er "civilised" queue - see photo below. I stood in it for an hour and a half before leaving. I just could not spend the whole last evening in line.
Some of the info you get along the way, while standing in the queue ...

Looks like Sarah went shopping at Jennifer's favourite English clothes shop!
Enjoy the Euro final - it will be fun if Spain win.
