6/16 On To Inverness

16 June 2008 - After overnighting in Luton (near London) I flew up to Inverness, Scotland via EasyJet. When I arrived in Inverness, checked into the very nice Rossmount B&B ...

I had a walk about town, enjoying the markets, the Scottish atmosphere, a couple of Pubs, and some music ... see the images below ... here is the High Street area walking area downtown Inverness.

As I walked down the steps to High Street, I came across this shop.

A view along the River Ness ...

A view at night as well ...

Finished the day at Hootananny's Pub/Restaurant - a great venue for local and international music - here is a band called Two Dollar Bash playing in he very informal setting - it was great!

The blog site is working well (now that I have found it / remembered it was here)...

The street scenes and countryside are classics, but more reports of the watering holes and reviews of the amber nectar are called for.

Have they talked you into buying a Mc'Wilkerson' kilt yet?

Re: the amber nectar - two key ones in the running so far: McEwans 80 and Black Isle Red Kite (organic). But more work to be done!
